In the May of 2020, Lucie received the devastating news that she had Breast Cancer. It changed her life, as well as those around her. She underwent a full year of treatment, including Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and a Single Mastectomy. Macmillan were a fantastic support to her both during her treatment and in the years to follow! Within the four years since her diagnosis, cancer has continued to dominate within her family, causing much more heartache and has remained a presence within their everyday lives.

By completing this hike, we want to give something back to the amazing people that have helped Lucie and her family, as well as the millions of others on the road to recovery.

Lucie was one of the lucky ones, and not all of us have had the same fortune. However, Macmillan are there for everyone effected by cancer, from the patient to their families, at all stages of the journey.
