This year, we’re running the London Marathon for a cause that means the world to us — Young Lives vs Cancer.

Every day, children and young people wake up to the unthinkable reality of a cancer diagnosis. Overnight, their lives — and their families’ lives — are turned upside down. Between hospital stays, endless appointments, and the fear of the unknown, childhood and young adulthood can suddenly feel out of reach. That’s where Young Lives vs Cancer steps in. They are there to listen, to guide, to fight for families, and to make sure no young person has to face cancer alone.

For us, this is personal.

• Tracy and Emily know first-hand the heartbreak and resilience of the families they support as social workers for the charity.

• As Fundraising Manager, Krissa works every day with families and the local community to raise the vital funds that make this support possible.

• And Barry, Krissa’s partner, was moved by what he heard about the charity that he decided to take on this challenge too — to stand in solidarity with the young people whose courage inspires us all.

We’re not just running 26.2 miles — we’re running for every child who should be able to focus on being a kid, for every teenager who deserves to chase their dreams, and for every family who needs someone in their corner when cancer strikes.
