Story
Tom and Matt have talked about this for as long as they can remember. Ever since they were 17, they’ve dreamed of recreating the spirit of The Italian Job – a road trip through the Alps in a classic Mini, revving through mountain passes, chasing views, and visiting the famous scenes from the legendary 1969 film. Now, years later, they’ve finally decided: it’s now or never.
This October, they'll pack their (small) bags and hit the road in one of Matt’s pride and joys – a red RSP Mini Cooper – to take on the challenge of a lifetime. They’ll weave their way through twisting Alpine passes, trace the route of the iconic film, and soak in every dramatic bend, beautiful vista, and tyre-squealing moment.
But they’re not just doing it for the thrill. They’re doing it to raise £1,500 for Buttle UK, a charity that’s been supporting vulnerable children and young people across the UK since 1953. Buttle UK provides direct grants to those in crisis – children living in financial hardship, facing instability, domestic abuse, bereavement, or other serious challenges no child should have to face.
Every pound raised will go towards helping a young person access basic essentials, safe housing, education, and the stability they need to thrive.
Tom and Matt may be chasing a dream that began in their teens, but they’re also doing it to give kids across the UK the chance to chase dreams of their own.
Please support them on their journey.
