Story
Our mad decision to take part in the half marathon was prompted after our precious loved one Tracy North, died of bowel cancer at just 52. Married with 2 children, 2 grand babies and surrounded by love from her family and friends Tracy still had a whole life ahead of her.
This cruel disease had already attempted to take Tracy’s life when she had breast cancer, she tackled that journey like the true warrior she was!
However in 2025, her shocking terminal diagnosis came, a feeling some of our others runners know all too well. We didn’t get a lot of time in the end, Tracy was brave, dignified and hopeful throughout, always with a smile on her face even down to her last day. She was our hero.
The myton holds a very special place for us all; from the minute Tracy got there she felt safe, cared for and treated as an individual. All the nurses loved her and she loved them! Anyone that knew Tracy, knew she came with a huge family, the Myton accommodated us all supported us, listened to us, made us a tea, nothing was ever too much.
Tracy was able to get the essential care she needed with the support of her loved ones around.
Please help to honour Tracy and the wonderful care Myton provide, support us doing this insane challenge and help the Myton to stay alive.
They can't do it without the support of people like me and you!
