Raising money for Team Domenica

London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2026 · 13 September 2026 ·

On Sunday 13 September, Team Domenica are taking part in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride. Raising money to open doors to paid work for young people with learning disabilities and autism.

Story

On 13 September, Dave Garget, Matt Goodlad, Andrew Raey and Heath Waller from the Watches of Switzerland Group will take on the London to Brighton Bike Ride — all in support of an incredible local charity, Team Domenica.

They're aiming to raise as much as they can to support Team Domenica’s work helping young people with learning disabilities and autism develop the skills, confidence and experience they need to move into paid employment and thrive in the workplace.

Why Team Domenica?

Based in Brighton, Team Domenica is a charity and specialist further education college with a simple - but important mission: to open doors to the world of work for people with learning disabilities and autism.

Just 4.7% of adults with learning disabilities in England are in paid employment, meaning far too many people miss out on the independence, confidence, friendships and sense of purpose that a job can bring. Team Domenica works to change that through personalised training, real-world work experience, employer partnerships and ongoing support. Since 2016, 76% of Team Domenica candidates have achieved paid work, while their wrap-around support helps people not just find employment, but stay and thrive in their roles.

Their work is particularly close to home for us. Team Domenica is also a beneficiary of the Watches of Switzerland Group Foundation, which supports organisations creating opportunities through education, employment and community support.

While 54 miles of cycling from London to Brighton might seem like a challenge in itself, it’s nothing compared with the barriers that many young people with learning disabilities face when trying to access the workplace.
