Just 4.8% of people with a learning disability are employed in England. We support young people with learning disabilities to acquire the skills, confidence and independence they need to gain paid employment, reach their full potential and find their place in society.

Story

Team Domenica equips people with learning disabilities and autism – their candidates – with the skills, confidence and independence they need to gain meaningful employment and thrive.

What they do works. Candidates undertake a two-year employment programme that combines classroom education, enrichment activities, and real-world training in their cafés and pub. Team Domenica also partners with local businesses to provide accessible work experience placements, internships, and job opportunities.

The results speak for themselves:

Less than 5% of adults with learning disabilities are in paid work in England (DHSC, 2025)

76% of Team Domenica candidates find work through our Supported Internship Programme (Our Impact, 2025).

82% of our young people remain in employment for two years or more (Our Impact, 2025).

Team Domenica’s impact goes far beyond numbers; they are transforming lives, bringing hope and joy to candidates, their families, and the wider community.

"This place has changed my life... it's given me hope. I feel ready for the future and like I can do anything!" – Candidate Laoisha
