Story
Why are you running the London Marathon? - you have MS!!
Running might be a bit of an exaggeration of what we will be doing but I am taking part because I can!
Despite having MS with all its daily difficulties I am determined to keep on challenging myself and being able to take part in this enormous challenge (via the London Marathon disability ballot) with Katie as my support runner is scary, exciting and a totally bonkers idea but one I have long dreamed of doing.
Katie will be with me to keep me company, out of trouble and hopefully upright!
When I was diagnosed with MS at the age of 25 the prognosis was generally dismal and there was very little in the way of treatment, support or information. Forty years later the outlook for MS is more optimistic with better treatments, research, access to specialised MS healthcare and information.
That's why we are fundraising for MS Trust.
They are a UK charity who bring together expertise from every angle to help people feel more in control of their MS, today and every day. Through trusted information, compassionate support, the training of new MS healthcare professionals, and research rooted in real experience, they’re here for every MS. Every day.
Thank you so much for your support!
