This year Woodies is proud to be supporting the 30/30 Cycle Challenge fundraiser again! Donating 5p from every coffee sold to an incredible cause. But this year, we’re taking it up a gear!

Three of the Woodies family, from Woodies coffee shop, long-time champions of this initiative, are stepping out from behind the scenes and onto their bikes. After four years of sponsorship, they're joining the challenge themselves, cycling to raise even more awareness and support.

Their goal? To go the extra mile, literally, for the community we care so deeply about. Every cup of coffee continues to count, and now, every mile they ride adds to the impact.

Les Bourgs Hospice provides free, specialist palliative care to its patients and their loved ones 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It may be for complex respite or symptom management as well as end of life care and bereavement support.

In 2024 they saw an increase in demand for their services due to a complexity of life limiting illnesses other than just cancer. They have also seen more young people with younger families spend their last days and weeks cared for by their nursing team.

Every penny raised by our community really does count in making a difference to what they can do now but also to help ensure the future of hospice care in the Bailiwick of Guernsey - the care we would all want for our loved ones and the care we think that our community deserves.
