Raising money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK

0%
We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Will Manuel, Sam Gilley, Toby Seeckts, Tom Leonard, Ben Reeves and I (Ben Coomer) are attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge on 7th and 8th of September 2020, in aid of Crohn's & Colitis UK. The challenge requires the group to ascend and descend Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, respectively - in 24 hours including travelling time.

Crohn’s and Colitis are bowel conditions which can devastate lives and have no known cure. Around 300,000 people in the UK have these conditions and more than half are diagnosed when young. The conditions affect various members of the group through friends and family connections, and I was diagnosed with Crohn's in April 2018, at the age of 16 whilst studying for my A-Levels.

Crohn's and Colitis UK offers information and support to those affected, raises understanding, works with health professionals to improve health care and funds research into the medical, social and psychological aspects of the conditions. We would be extremely appreciative of any donations towards this worthy cause, no-matter how big or small.
