St Catherine's Hospice (Crawley) - Midnight Walk · 11 June 2011 ·

We’re here for people requiring specialist end of life care in West Sussex and East Surrey, in our hospice or out in the community. Our care is only possible thanks to our local community who kindly donate and volunteer. Your incredible support means we can care for around 2,000 people every year.

Story

WELCOME to the OT Fundrasiing Page! wa hooo!!

So this is the BRIGHT idea of one miss Campbell as she spent her placement at St Catherine's Hospice in Horsham and thought they definetly desearve our time and money!

I think we all agree that Hospices are places that are well worth it to make sure that people are comfortbale and get the support they need when it comes to end of life care and money from this will make sure that St Catherine's can continue to do this!

Your sponsorship money could provide the following:-

  • £10 could pay for the running of the ambulance traveller for one day.
  • £25 could pay for an occupational therapy session to enable a patient to stay as mobile and independent as possible.
  • £50 could enable a patient to attend Day Hospice, with access to bathing, meals, medical consultation, complementary therapies and social activities and support – of enormous help to patients and providing a day of respite for their carers.
  • £100 could pay for a course of six counselling sessions, enabling patients and their families to share their feelings and address issues causing anxiety and distress.
  • £250 could pay for the running of one in-patient bed for one day – 24 hour nursing care and full hospice support to patients and their families as needed.

so please spare some pennies and we will walk on through the night......half a martahon people ...13 Miles!

The walk will take approximately 3.5 hours for a fit walker!! so let's see who is fit enough...ha!
