Thanks for visiting our BathdoesKili2014 page!
We are a team of 40 University of Bath students led by two team leaders, Nadia Craddock and Anna Howarth. We got together back in October 2013 to undertake an epic fundraising challenge adventure, raising money for the Children's Society.
This June we are climbing the world's highest free-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. A massive 19,340ft up, at the summit we will reach the rooftop of Africa.
Before we get there however, we have to reach our fundraising targets - just under £3000 each. On top of our studies and university commitments we have been busy supermarket bag-packing, street collecting, selling cakes, hosting pub quizzes, dinner parties...you get the idea.
Our chosen charity, the Children's Society does incredible work to improve the lives of vulnerable and at-risk children growing up in the UK. They work not only with thse living in poverty, but young carers, run-aways, children with disabilities and refugees.
We have been really touched by the generousity of our friends, family and the people in Bath who have donated.
A special thank you to some of the local businesses here who have supported us too; Waitrose Bath, Sainsburys Bath, Mailboxes etc. Bath and LK Bennett.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
