Back in December our friend and colleague Vicky was involved in a almost fatal collision with a lorry whilst cycling to work. Her injuries were very severe but thankfully the brilliant and skilled team at London's Air Ambulance were on the scene within minutes. Trauma patients like Vicky require immediate and specialised roadside attention which saves lives. Unfortunately, London currently only has one air ambulance, that's just one helicopter for 10 million people. This sometimes means there are people who require their help but cannot get it. We want to change this.
Therefore, on Friday 19th June, four of us from Clinic will be abseiling 284ft from the LAA helipad at the Royal London Hospital. This is an extra special event for us as it is the same hospital that Vicky was taken to and treated in. By sponsoring us to abseil down the hospital, you'll be helping to get another helicopter up in the air.
