On 14 October 2018, 3 members of the Irwin Mitchell occupational disease team will run 46.2 miles at the Yorkshire Marathon and 10 mile events. They will do so in support of the British Lung Foundation.
Angela, Hannah and David have spent their careers representing significant numbers of men and women living with the terrible effects of debilitating lung disease. They have lost many clients to various chronic lung diseases including mesothelioma, cancer, COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. The day to day struggles these men and women endure and the tireless efforts of their families and carers who help those affected, struggle through each and every day will serve as inspiration throughout training and on the day of the race itself.
The British Lung Foundation provides fantastic support to lung disease patients by way of support groups, helplines and advice. They campaign to raise awareness on the issue and invest millions in research projects seeking to find treatments and cures to give hope for future sufferers.
