Team Run 12 formed in October 2014, with the aim to complete twelve marathons in as many months, whilst raising £25,000 for two cancer charities.
The concept of Team Run 12 was developed by Becky ‘Bexx Starr’ Beard. Having completed the London Marathon in 2013, with just 88 days’ worth of training and raising over £11,000, Becky wanted a bigger and better challenge to take her fundraising to a new level.
Becky crossed the finish line of the twelfth marathon in Portsmouth on December 21st, having travelled as far as New York to race 26.2 miles just months earlier. By January 31st 2015, Team Run 12 had raised over £26,200 for Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Care.
Now in late 2015, Team Run 12 are back with a series of further events already penciled in to the diary – including the Royal Parks Half Marathon and 2016 London Marathon. Team Run 12 will be announcing new challenges, and ways that YOU can get involved with their fundraising, as they continue to raise money for several worthy charities.
Our ultimate goal, is to collectively raise £100,000.
