Banham are proud to be supporting The Marsden March for the third year, to help work towards a future beyond cancer.
Banham are at the forefront of burglary prevention and are the largest supplier of security systems to residential and commercial properties in London and the South East. They have been leaders in the security industry since 1926 when their founder William F Banham invented the first automatic door bolt, which was truly pioneering for the security industry. Banham’s ethos is centred around ensuring a future for the next generation, reinforcing the importance of the partnership with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Celebrating their 90th anniversary last year, Banham are proud to remain a family owned and run business. Charles Hallatt, the founder’s grandson and Chairman of the group said:
"Banham are very proud to be sponsoring and taking part in The Marsden March for the third year running. The March is a fantastic day bringing individuals, families and friends together to raise funds and awareness for such an important cause. All the funds raised on the day for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity help the hospitals to continue their outstanding treatment and care for patients affected by this terrible disease. We at Banham have several staff members that have direct links to The Royal Marsden through care and treatment that they have provided to members of our staff or their families; this places the cause very closely to our hearts.
The Banham Group are delighted to continue their support for this terrific event and wish all of this year's marchers the very best of luck."
One of Banham's staff members, Gary Kelly, has marched every year for the last 7 years in order to give back to The Royal Marsden following treatment of his son. Sadly, only 2 weeks before this years march, Gary Kelly has tragically passed away aged only 48. He was a dedicated father and husband and loved by all his colleagues at Banham. He will be forever missed.
Team Banham have also walked every year. We were joined by 51 walkers in 2015 and 70 in 2016, raising over £23,000 in total.
