Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page! We are Creative Survival, a group of Civil Service Fast Streamers participating in The Fund, a charitable fundraising and awareness initiative that forms part of our graduate programme.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be raising awareness for, volunteering with and fundraising for two charities that support some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, both at home and internationally.
The Helen Bamber Foundation provides practical, psychological and legal assistance to the victims of and those vulnerable to some of the gravest human rights violations, including people trafficking and other forms of abuse. Often directly affected by conflict, the livelihoods of the survivors that the HBF supports are typically dangerous, unstable and affected by high risks of poverty, ill health and trauma. The Foundation focuses on early intervention, effective medical assessment and therapies, especially for asylum seekers and refugees, legal support. The objective of this support is to provide survivors with the support, skills and resilience to rebuild their lives.
Our second charity has a domestic focus. The Glass Door Homeless Charity is based in London and operates out of a collection of churches. It provides emergency sheltered accommodation during the winter months, food, and support services like laundry, clothing, and washing facilities to homeless people living in the Capital city. Its volunteers also provide a casework service, helping those affected by homelessness to find more sustainable long-term solutions to their predicament.
Our partnership with these two organisations aims both to raise awareness of their causes and services, and to provide material support to their initiatives. We will be volunteering our time and involving our wider networks of friends, family and colleagues within the Civil Service in a variety of fundraising activities to help them change the lives of those in society who most urgently need our support and compassion.
Please visit our website at: https://creativesurvivalfund.wordpress.com/ to find out more about us and to read our blog which has regular updates on the work we are doing and our individual experiences.
Please access our individual JustGiving sites below to donate and help us reach our target to raise money for these incredible charities. We will be taking part in challenges, such as Living On The Breadline where each team member will live on just £5’s worth of food and drink for 5 days, as well as individual fundraising activities.
We really do appreciate any help that you can give as even the smallest of donations will contribute to these amazing charities.
Thank you,
Creative Survival
