Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal
On the 19th and 20th of November UNICEF on Campus Exeter will participate in a 24-hour fast to raise money for UNICEF's vitial nutrition programme in Liberia, where almost a third of the children suffer from chronic malnutrition. Liberia remains one of the poorest in the world, ranked among the bottom five countries (176 out of 179) where nearly one-third of the Liberian population is undernourished. In addition, about 14 percent of children under five are underweight. Health officials feared that an estimated 74,000 Liberian children would die from malnutrition by 2015.
By going without food for 24 hours you will be helping UNICEF keep children safe from hunger. Other than the fact that we've got great events lined up all week long before the Fast starts on the 19th, what's exciting this year is the fact that every £1 you raise will be doubled by The Power of Nutrition, a charitable foundation. Let's Fast together and do what we can as an Exeter community to help these children get the nutrition they need to grow up healthy and strong.
Disclaimer: if you have any medical conditions DO NOT join the Fast, however you are still more than welcome to come attend the events and help us fundraise for UNICEF.
UNICEF on Campus Exeter will not be held responsbile for any injuries, illness, loss, damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever.
If you are pariticpating in the fast, we reccomend you make sure you keep yourself hydradted constantly.
Let's all join together to pay our parts in making a little bit of difference.
