On the 16th September 2014, Jodie Nicole Wilson was suddenly taken from us during the birth of her second child Caleb. Already an amazing mother to Leo, the heartbreak of this loss is still felt every single day from everyone that knew her, especially her loving family.
Jodie suffered an amniotic fluid embolism and we are very fortunate that Brighton Hospital acted so quickly otherwise we would have lost Caleb as well. As a family we have decided to act and do something to try and stop this happening again and stop other families going through what we have.
We are raising money for the Lisa Waterman Fund/Wellbeing on Women charity which was set up when Lisa and her baby died from the same cause. This fund will be used for research to help prevent other women and babies from dying through amniotic fluid embolisms.
Doing this for Jodie is our way of helping us as a family to deal with this terrible tragedy.
