After three successful Life Cycles and £760,000 raised for Impact: The Nottingham Campaign, The University of Nottingham's Vice-Chancellor and his team will be back in the saddle in August 2014. This year’s 1,400+ mile challenge will be the longest yet, taking in all four corners of Great Britain in aid of children's brain tumour research. Each rider will be riding in honour of a child who has battled this life-threatening disease.
Worldwide, over 30,000 children each year are diagnosed with cancer of the brain or central nervous system. And every year around 450 of those children are in the UK. However our survival rates are among the lowest in Europe. Your support for Life Cycle 4 will enable crucial advances to be made into understanding the cause, nature, treatment and outcomes of childhood brain tumours.
