The University of Kent Cycling Club have assembled a team of 6 dedicated and ambitious student cyclists to undertake the challenge of their lives.
On 17th June 2013, set before them is the daunting prospect of cycling 1100 miles between John O’Groats (the most North-easterly point of the UK) to Land’s End (the most South-westerly).
Not only do they plan of completing this monumental feat of endurance riding, they are aiming to climb and summit the highest peak in each of the countries on their way south. These are Ben Nevis, Scotland (4,409ft), Scarfell Pike, England (3,209ft) and Snowdon, Wales (3,560ft).
An additional aim of the venture is the complete the Scottish Coast-to-Coast cycle between Inverness and Fort William in the fastest time possible.
The team will achieve the entire endeavour inside 2 weeks!
