On Sat 5 Oct our team of Essex-based Hammers fans will be walking a 26 mile route, we're calling the West Ham Way, from Chelmsford to the London Stadium. Hopefully we'll still have the energy to cheer on the Irons as they take on Crystal Palace.
Q. What has inspired us to do this?
A. We are UNITED in all having family members, friends and fellow Hammers whose lives have suffered, or been lost to, Prostate Cancer.
Prostate Cancer is a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes in the UK. In his honour we'll start our walk from the home of a life-long Hammer who we lost last September.
Please help our efforts to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK. This wonderful organisation has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. It aims to shift the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support to stop prostate cancer being a killer. It is there for everyone who believes our fathers, brothers, husbands, partners and sons are worth fighting for.
