Hello and Welcome to the Team Sanj Bananaman Chase website!!  

Good Lord! We've only gone and done it! The race is run and at least a third of Team Sanj was injured either in training or during the race itself! But did we let that stop us - NO! Every member of Team Sanj gave it their all and battled their way to the finish line, sore and aching but happy in the knowledge that we'd been part of something so positive in the face of an illness that has struck so many people.

Our team ran in the name of Sunjay Vasudev, who is beating Leukaemia for the second time at the age of 18. Sunjay has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant and is now recovering in hospital. We all wish Sanj the biggest "Get Well Soon" - we know that next year he'll be running with us!

We have been fortunate in securing the backing of a Bedfont business, Mackenzie Personnel of Staines Road, who have been kind enough to offer £250 in sponsorship. The recent sad death of Rekha's grandfather (Meera's uncle, Sheetal and Sunjays Great-uncle) has also generated a lot of money for this good cause in memory of him.

The unsurpassed generousity of our friends and family means that we have smashed our original target of 2000 pounds! But it isn't over just yet! This website remains open for your sponsorship until September, so there are no excuses!
