Story
In March 2008 my Dad, Richard Walden (Tish) was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. As Rich was a successful footballer in his younger years and managed to maintain a high level of fitness and good health since his playing days, this diagnosis came as a massive shock to all those who know and love him.
Thanks to the amazing expertise and care from the Ruth Myles Ward at St.George's Hospital, Tooting, and the fact that his brother, Charlie, was a perfect bone marrow match, my Dad received a Bone Marrow Transplant in August 2008 and is well on his way to recovery.
We now would like to give something back to the Ruth Myles Ward, who without a doubt, saved my Dads life. So please support Team Tish in raising money to help support and care for people who may one day find themselves facing this terrible illness.
On 15th March 2009 Team Tish will be running the Fleet Half Marathon. Team Members are Rachel Auge De Rancourt, Steve Ambler, Helen & Zoran Cvetkovic, Sarah Anderson and Al & Nat Rorie.
So Please support Team Tish Now!
