Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
We are 6 ladies within Aylesbury based HS Roads group company, Techspan, who have bravely signed up to do a 12 mile walk around our town along with 494 other women to raise money for Florence Nightingale Hospice, the only hospice within the Aylesbury area. The walk starts at midnight and finishes in the early hours with a well deserved breakfast and foot rub – we’ve also been told on the QT that jaffa cakes will be provided en route – we think that’s a pretty good perk! Being part of the HS Roads infrastructure group, each of us has been individually sponsored by a company within the group. Being creative and full of flare as we are, we will be wearing personalized t-shirts to represent the company sponsoring us. § Signage Sarah has been sponsored by Techspan Systems, we make Variable Message Signs § Traffic Data Sue has been sponsored by CA Traffic, traffic data collection systems (obviously!) § Lit up Emma has been sponsored by Mallatite, who supply lighting columns § Barrier Carla has been sponsored by Hill & Smith Ltd, specialists in highway safety barriers § Made of Steel Claire has been sponsored by Access Design & Engineering, steel and metalwork solutions company § Lightweight (Gantry) Louise has been sponsored by Varley & Gulliver, manufacturers of bridge parapets and newly developed lightweight motorway gantries. Please dig deep and donate now! We thank you for your help and support in reaching our target.

The aim of the Florence Nightingale Hospice is to provide a first class specialist palliative care service which is accessible and free of charge to those with a life-limiting illness. Hospice care is all about the person being more than a patient and finding ways to improve quality of life through symptom control, pain relief, emotional and spiritual support. Families and close friends are also involved as they are often central to the well-being of those in care.
Anyone who knows or has known someone with a life-limiting illness will understand that care and support of the nature offered by the Florence Nightingale Hospice is invaluable.
