Story
Hi,
Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for the Stroke Association and the 2006 Thames Bridges Bike ride.
For those of you that may not know, on May 14th I'll be riding 32 miles 14 of the bridges over the Thames, staring with Tower Bridge and finishing with at Hurst Park in Molesey, just after crossing the 14th bridge at Hampton Court. Last year more than 2200 people took part raising over £190,000, and I'd like to help the event achieve a new record total this year - so please dig deep and sponsor me for this! My aim is to complete the ride in less than two hours and to raise as much as possible along the way, so any contributions would be very much appreciated!
Why the Stroke Association? Stroke is the third biggest killer in the UK, and every five minutes someone in England and Wales suffers a stroke - the effects of which can be devastating, to the stroke patient and to their families. The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation and helps stroke patients (and their families) directly through its community services. I'd like to help them do more.
Many thanks for your support!
Dave
