Debbie, Phil and Jessica completed a 20 mile (20 pubs) sponsored walk on Saturday 6th June to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust and we all have the blisters to prove it! We started the walk at 10.00am and arrived back in Longridge to sign in at the Bull and Royal just after 10.00pm. It was a long hard day but we had a fantastic time along with nearly 400 other people.
This was the 16th annual 20 mile 20 pubs walk organised by the Longridge Unaffiliated Mountaineering and Peregrination Society (L.U.M.P.S.). Each year the walk raises money for a local charity. This year the Bone cancer Research Trust has been chosen in support of a local little girl Anna May Griffin who is currently undergoing treatment for this condition.
