Story

Thank you for making the effort to visit our page and hopefully pressing the all important donate button!!!

So what makes 12 ordinary people (Nick Kimber, Ian Dodd, Laura Hadley, Caroline Foster, John Soutar, Peter Ward, Rosanna Ward, Simon Hardy, Andrew Hardy, Craig Jess, Matt Burgess and Debbie McLauchlan) sign up to a 100km non-stop walk across the South Downs?

Simple...

To raise as much money as possible for Oxfam & the Gurkha Welfare Trust so that they can provide shelter, medical aid and alleviate hardship in some of the poorest communities around the world! By helping us raise money and awareness about this charity you are directly helping build homes, feed families and helping communities become self-sufficient.

Our team has seen first hand how this money can help families in need. 10 years ago, Laura worked in India and was regularly shocked at the level of poverty families and in particular children lived in. She saw how aid, raised in events like this one, permanently alleviated some of the symptoms of poverty, providing shelter for children and most importantly enabling communities to develop long-term solutions to the problem of disease and famine.

Thank you once again and wish us luck, our feet will need it!
