Story
Ladies and Gents,
Dan Howie, Rory Maxwell-Scott, and Tom Griffiths will be cycling from London to Sotogrande (near Gibraltar) on 12th July. This is unchartered territory for all three of us. We are attempting to do the 1400 miles in two weeks averaging 100 miles a day. This is an extreme event for extreme athletes. Training has started and we're getting a good few miles under our belts. Extremely tight lycra has been purchased, as well as some very nice road bikes and three shiny helmets which will be worn at all times, for all occasions (Health and Safety always comes first).
We know it is a recession and most of you may have recently sponsored people in the marathon but we feel this is something a little different, and hopefully worthy of your hard earned cash. We are raising money for AICR (Association for International Cancer Research) which, I am sure you will agree is a very worthy cause and a subject close to all three of us. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
AICR funds cutting edge research into the causes of cancer. In the past 29 years, they have supported a large variety of projects in all corners of the world and a donation from you will contribute towards further research into conquering cancer.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us. Association for International Cancer Research gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor us now!
Please be aware that 15% of the money raised will go towards the funding of the trip. If you are not happy with this, please do not sponsor us.
