Fundraising for Maggie's Centres
Story
A huge thank you to all of you who have kindly sponsored us for Maggie's Monster Bike & Hike. We are overwhelmed by your generosity and so pleased to have raised such a tremendous amount for Maggie's Centres. The total has surpassed our highest expectations, and is still continuing to grow – we can't thank you enough for all of your support and words of encouragement.
We on team 'The Two of Them' (In loving memory of Sheila Stewart and Jill Strike) are proud to announce that we've successfully completed the Silver level of this year's Bike and Hike – cycling and hiking a total of 54.5 miles over the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Drumnadrochit over the weekend of 4-6 May. A brilliant time was had by all, and are glad to say we sustained no major injuries apart from a few blisters, sore muscles and tired eyes!
The team is Pete Strike, Lucy MacLeod, Richard Strike and Tom Hughes (Jill's son) with support from Eilidh Stewart (Sheila's daughter), Allie Houghton and Finlay MacLeod.
Thank you again for all of your support – we will be continuing to raise money until 5 July when this site is no longer live, so if you haven't had a chance to do so already, there is still time to donate and join all the others who have sponsored us for this brilliant cause.
