Tom's London to Paris cycling challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support

I have signed up to the London to Paris cycling challenge page for Macmillan cancer research from 7 - 11 July!

Reasons for taking up the challenge

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. They train nurses and support staff to look after those afflicted by the disease and do a superb job. personally speaking they looked after my terminally ill Grandmother while she had cancer and I will not forget the great job they did.

In the past year of so I have taken up cycling and bought a new bike using it to commute the 14 miles to and from work; an experience I have greatly enjoyed and given me a interest in all things cycling. I have been on a number of long cycles in the country so when I saw the advert for this challenge I had to take it on, and it ends in Paris, oo la la!

I have to raise £1400.00 so please give as generously as you can!

Your donations will all Macmillan to fund the following:

£10.00 - Could pay for 20 copies of The Cancer Guide. Helping to inform those with cancer and those caring for cancer sufferers.

£20.00 - Help us be there to relieve people's fears by answering their questions, through our nurses as well as trained advisers on our helplines.

£40.00 - Help our counselors and psychologists support anyone living with cancer, whether they're coping with depression or anxiety or they simply need someone to talk to.

£100.00 - Help us be there for the 2 million people who are living with cancer in the UK today.

£350.00 - Could pay for a much needed convalescent break for someone with cancer and their carer.
