Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Tom & Pete are cycling over 125 miles in one day over 4 Tour de France mountains (that is 17,000Feet of climbing!) on 5th July in an event called the "Marmotte" (google it). Last year we did one mountain a day (10miles, 3,000 feet) and that really hurt!
We want to try to raise money to save kids from dying from Malaria. Just £4 buys a net which protects a family from Malaria. In Africa 80,000 children die a month from Malaria, enough to fill Wembley..and it doesn't have to be! So just one day of congestion charge = 2 nets and many lives! Wow!
This charity link called EDDNETS (payable via London Diocesan Fund) was set up by friends from church whose son tragically died. They felt that their son had the best treatment money could buy, but we still lost Edd, so they wanted the loss of Edd to somehow help prevent other parents from losing a child where the small amount of' 'medicine' could save the life of son, daughter, mother father.. etc and give the gift of LIFE.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The London Diocesan Fund EDDNETS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support.
