Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Unbelievably I've decided to undergo the pain and actually very stupid ordeal of running 13.1 miles. The event is the Run to the Beat Half Marathon, at the end of Sept, starting and finishing at the O2, and the thought of dragging my heavy frame around the mean (and surprisingly hilly) streets of East Laahhndon is daunting to say the least. Early running experiences have resulted in a sweaty panting mess of a man; I just fear for the moment I actually get out the door.
My charity of choice is the Princess Alice Hospice, an inspiring organisation, and quite humbling when you think of the amazing work that they do everyday. I can't really imagine what it must be like to do what the staff do there, so this is just my way of contributing a little bit, and saying thanks, I guess.
Oh, and I'm doing the run dressed up as Princess Alice. Photo proof to be provided.
Right, I'm off to find out what this Alice looks like, please give generously!!!
Thanks muchly! tommy x
