Story
Hi everyone,
Some of you may already be aware of the super human challenge I will be undertaking on 1 May, but for those of you who aren't.............. I will be attempting to CYCLE 290 miles (464 kms) from LONDON to PARIS!!!
The Challenge
Over 3 days from 1 May - 3 May three friends and I will be cycling from London to Paris. We are starting at Marble Arch and cycling down to Dover, then jumping on the ferry to Calais, and then continuing our cycle through France down to our finishing line, which will be the infamous Arc d'Triomphe roundabout.
So far my training has been rather minimal!! My longest ride to date has been just over 2 hours in which time I covered 25 miles. To put this into perspective, that is only about 1/4 of the distance I will need to cover each day in order to complete the challenge on time.
The Dangers
Having been force fed numerous websites by "concerned" colleagues I am now fully aware of the potential dangers of this challenge!! I think it is fair to say that the male anatomy has not been designed with cycling long distances in mind!!
If any of you are concerned for my "welfare", or if you just fancy having a good laugh at my expense, then I would direct your concerns to google and search for one of the many cycling forums that are dedicated to describing in detail the health issues associated with a bike ride of this nature.
The Charity
I will be completing this challenge with the aim of raising as much money for charity as possible. I will be raising money for Havens Hospices which incorporates Fair Havens Hospice and Little Havens Children's Hospice. If you would like to know more about Havens Hospices, I have attached a link to their website below:

I would be very grateful for any donations towards my challenge! If you do want to sponsor me then you can donate money securely through my website which is:

Please give as generously as you can............ because I quite simply do not want to risk eternal impotence for very little money!!!
Thank you in advance for your HUGE donations!!
Tom
