TRIATHLON WITH A DIFFERENCE

Hello all, yes this is a triathlon with a difference, last year I got off my backside and completed the Manchester run achieving my target to complete in under an hour.

This year I aim to raise the bar by not only taking 10 minutes off my target time but also completing an additional Two events to support the charity I am extremely passionate about.

   17th MAY - To complete the Manchester 10k run in under 50 minutes

   6th JUNE - To climb Mount Snowdon the highest mountain in England and Wales at 3,560 ft above sea level. RMHC National event -Feel free to join me.

   12th JULY - Manchester to Blackpool bike ride

Many sick children are now treated in specialist hospitals distant from their homes, as specialist medicalt reatments are increasingly provided from regional or national centres of excellence.

RMHC - Ronald McDonald House Charities - is an independent charity which aims to provide free "home away " from home accomodation at these hospitals, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.

The charity has achieved a lot in the last 20 years. There are 12 Ronald McDonald houses in the uk and over 350 bedrooms are available every single night,  of the year, but there is still a great deal to do. Many families still have to sleep on camp beds or in their cars in order to be close to their children and RMHC is determined to help as many of these as possible.
