Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
As many of you know im not a born runner so can you believe im running in the London Marathon next April. Every year I watch it and think how great it would be to run but im not sure what sort of madness I was suffering when I volunteered to run as a sunflower for Help the Hospices.
Having had personal experience of visiting a couple of Hospices to visit family and friends I am aiming to raise some money for Help the Hospices. They are a valuable resource and we never know we might need them our selves in the future.
When ive told people I am running ive had comments such as:"but you run like a duck"; "are you kidding? plus "silence followed by lots of sniggering, laughing etc. Its going to be tough but im sure it will be worth it at the end, completing the Marathon and raising loads of money.
Ive started my training and can now run 2 miles in 25 mins - very slow!!! I'll keep you posted on my training progress.
Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help the Hospices will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.

Just got up to 10 miles run/walking - my feet are killing me!!!
Last weekend I ran/walked 13.8 miles from Chichester to West Wittering - I think I enjoyed 5 minutes
Im spending my last 2 weeks "tapering" so lots of pasta and just little runs. The nerves are kicking in now - ive had a few sleepless nights!
Thanks for sponsoring me xxxxxxx
Hurrah I finished 6.5 hours - slow and steady. Thanks to everyone who came to watch in the rain. It was a great day, the atmosphere was so friendly.
Thanks to you all for sponsoring me
Love
Tracey xx
