Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This is the re-run of an event cancelled by snow in December 2009...

Fasten your seat belts as we start our engines and raise some money on the World Famous Brands Hatch Racing Circuit for a most worthy cause.

THE DRIVERS: (More to be confirmed...)
James Butterworth – BMW E36 M3 EVO Trackmeister
Miles Davies – BMW E36 M3 EVO Trackmeister

Don – TVR Sagaris

THE CAUSE:
A good friend of ours Simon was unfortunately caught in heavy crossfire and suffered terrible injuries to both legs.
He was serving for the British Army in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. During this 6 month tour his regiment would risk constant fire in forward bases of the field hospital in Camp Bastion and on the dangerous cross-country convoys.

This fund has been created to raise money for the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity. This charity contributes greatly to the rehabilitation centres and specifically Headley Court where Sgt. Simon Harmer was rehabilitated recently.

THE TRACKDAY...
In light of this news we wrote to MotorSport Vision, a company who run Brands Hatch and 4 other UK Circuits. We wrote to ask if they would waive their compulsory £10 administration/sign-on fee for trackday passengers so that we could charge our friends and family to take them out on the circuit. MotorSport Vision are kindly supporting us with our fundraiser and want us all to have a great day! We've booked our cars onto a trackday at Brands Hatch on Saturday 29th January 2011.

If you'd like a passenger ride contact one of us but places are filling fast as they are limited (and must be booked in advance). It's a low key event so everyone is welcome to pop along, say hello, see the action and drop a donation in our collection pots!

If you can't swing by the circuit then donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. :-)

Many thanks in advance for your support. Every pound helps so whatever you can spare will help to make a difference.

We hope to see you there...

James and Miles. :-)
