Story

Hi Everyone,

As usual I'm doing my annual event for charity.

This year I am again taking part in the London Half Marathon (27 Sept) www.runtothebeat.co.uk but to make it more challenging this year I am also taking part in Royal Parks Half Marathon two weeks later (11 Oct) www.royalparkshalf.com/.

Therefore TWO HALVES in TWO WEEKS! -  complete madness for an overweight 42 year old mum , and 13.1 miles is quite a long way once never mind twice (ssshhh to the people that do Marathons!).

To add to my challenge as from 3 June 2009, until the Royal Parks Half Mara 11 October, I pledge to give up the following:

- chocolate
- sweets
- crisps
- cakes
- biscuits

My chosen charity is the registered charity for the London Half Mara (Run To The Beat), Leukaemia Research www.lrf.org.uk due to losing a family friend to this illness last New Year.

I know I often beg for fundraising, and as you know every bit counts for charity. If I can raise £500 Ernst &Young, my employer, matches it up to £500. I'd appreciate if you could find it in your hearts for any donation at all and I will try not to ask next year

If you'd like to come and support me at either event, you are more than welcome!

Best wishes and thank you in advance.

Tracy
