Story
A team of intrepid cyclists from Bird & Bird will be riding from London to Paris this summer to raise money for Keep a Child Alive. Throwing caution to the wind, the team will depart London on Friday the 13th (of August) and arrive in Paris 2 days later on Sunday.
The team includes:
Adrian Howes; Alphie Ibrahim; Barry Jennings; Brett Israel; Helen Dyson; James Leeson; Jules Campbell; Lawrence Schoeb; Lorna Brazell; Louise McAulay; Nick Aries; Oliver Stanley; Peter Ward; Russell Williamson; Robert Fuller; Siobhan McManus; Stacey Macmillan; Stuart McGinn; Tessa Finlayson; Tim Harris; Trent Lyndon; Veronica Hamilton; Victoria Gardner; Wouter Pors and...
Ed "The Man with the Van" Stanley as our faithful support van driver.
Its quite a diverse group of cyclists. One owns a bike older than most of the trainees and others have yet to actually buy a bike but assure us they will have one come 7:00am on the 13th. Lawrence and Russell took an economical approach in these difficult financial times and will share a bike. Nothing like 200+ miles on a tandem to really cement your friendship.
All cyclists share a desire to support a very worthy cause. Keep a Child Alive provides life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India by directly engaging the global public fight against AIDS.
