Story
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month- It's a great cause and it educates people on what to keep an eye out for. And who doesn't like to keep their eyes open on breasts?
But not enough attention is paid towards just as big a killer. It affects a significant percentage of men....and it's something up *there*.
Meanwhile, breasts already have a great public image.
Everyone holds breast in high regard, or holds them!
Do they really need such a big PR campaign?
There's something that does though, and its UP *THERE*.
It's not displayed like the breasts in all their glory for everyone to see.
No.
It's up *there*, hidden away in a place most men don't visit.
If anything was in need of a good PR campaign it's a man's Prostate gland and the deadly cancer that can grow in it.
Prostate cancer is nearly as deadly to men as breast cancer is to women, yet it doesn't get nearly the same attention or funding.
In America Breast cancer kills about 40,000 women a year while prostate cancer kills about 30,000 men. But breast cancer research gets more than twice the federal funding. A similar story is in the UK.
Surprised?
Let's address this shortfall by helping to raise £1000 for Prostate Cancer Research.
This doesn't mean you should not donate to breast cancer charities but please...
Spare a thought for the little guy.
He might not be as pretty and he's stuck in a dark place, up *there* but he needs all the funding he can get.
And one day it might be your father or brother or husband who's life you save.
Please help us reach our target by donating something, anything, right now
