Welcome to my sponsorship page where I'll keep you posted on our training and fundraising for our 100 Km Trailwalk.

Our team, The Stylish Stile Jumpers, has committed to raise £2000 and we would like to double that by raising £1000 each to support the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

Over the 19th and 20th July I'll be taking part in Trailwalker UK, which is a 100km (62 mile) hike from Petersfield to Brighton (along the South Downs Way) for teams of four - with only 30 hours to do it! 

Now you might think "it's only walking" but it's actually two and a half marathons and includes, so I'm told, a total ascent equivalent to that of Ben Nevis!  Last year only 80% of people who started the course finished it. 

I'll be busy training over the next couple of months,  and as well as my individual training walks over the next few months I'm spending one weekend a month with my team to build up our distance and staminia.  We've just had our first weekend away and completed 24 miles over two days, trekking up hills in gale like conditions, down muddy slopes and seeing how much of the South Downs we could manage to get all over our clothes. Quite a lot it seems!

So I hope I've convinced you that me completing this challenge, along with fellow team mates Jo Rossi, Sam McAlister and Hannah Fox, is worth sponsoring.  Here's how your money could help support the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust:-

£5 could pay for two school textbooks

£10 could pay for fishing nets; one net could catch enough fish to support 80 people

£14 could buy a blackboard for a school classroom

£23 could pay for 10 Oxfam buckets which are specially designed to keep water safe and clean

£30 could pay for school dinners for 50 hungry children

£36 could provide safe water for 50 people

£50 could buy a donkey to ease the burden of carrying large loads over long distances (and provides free fertiliser!)

£100 could buy essential medicines for a whole community for six months
