**Update**

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far!

After months of training and getting quite a few miles under my belt, the end of Feb was a bit of a low point for me after suffering an injury and having to take some enforced time out to rest but after a couple of sports massages  ...and ice cold baths (horrendous) I am back in action and have my running legs back :)

There are now under 45 days to go and time is ticking away fast until the big day which is both scary and exciting!

Great Ormond Street Hospital really is an amazing place and the fact that I am running for a great charity really is keeping me going.

I will be running the London Marathon in April 2010.  My chosen charity is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.  

This charity needs to raise a massive £50 million every year to make sure that the hospital remains the world-class pioneering institution that it is today. Money raised from fundraising helps them to buy equipment, fund research and rebuild and refurbish some of their hospital site.

It means a great deal to me to run the London Marathon and my training is well underway. It is going to be a massive challenge;  I wouldn’t really describe myself as a natural runner, but after a serious illness a couple of years ago, good health has become very important to me. is an amazing place and and can help to give young people who are less fortunate than us a better chance in life.  I am really excited to start raising money for a charity that means so much to me.
