Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

On September 4th a team of guys (Jack Stevenson, Pete Stevenson, Tom James, Donald Onyuma, Matthew Platts, Eamonn Pinkerton, JP Devereux, Jamie Howley, Paul Vukovich, Ben Brophy, Michael Treacy, Cristoph Treacy, Justin Hiskett, Robin Gibbs, Rob Humprhey, Mark Gorton, Dan Rankin, Simon Smith, Jon Arrowsmith, Andy Kiff, Will Cawrey, Fraser Hill, Dave Hance and Ben Sweeting) will attempt to climb all three peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon) in the space of 24 hours.  This will be a tough challenge for a group of men pushing on to their middle ages!!!!

We are raising these funds for local children with Cystic Fibrosis.  Watford Hospital are setting aside all the money we raise to go towards counseling for children with Cystic Fibrosis and their families and also to give more CF specialized training to nursing staff on the paediatric ward.

Our son Oliver was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in June 08.  Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the UK's most common life threatening inherited disease.  There are currently over 8000 people in the UK with CF.  Day to day life involves rigorous routines of physiotherapy, exercise and many medications.  The unit at Watford enables children with CF to be able to obtain 'local' medical care, however at present the service cannot provide what the larger London hospitals can.  This money would enable children to get more care locally therefore reducing the impact on family life.
