Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Calcutta Rescue's JustGiving page.

Calcutta Rescue Fund raises funds and supports the work of Calcutta Rescue in India – providing free healthcare, education, vocational training and sanitation so that families and whole communities have a chance to lift themselves out of poverty.

Kavi's Walk – 20 kms from Kew Bridge to Hampton Court along the Thames Path - is being held to celebrate the life of one of the charity's young supporters, Kavi Varsani, who died of Covid last spring.  In 2018 Kavi took part in CR's sponsored walk along the same route - see photo above.

All the money raised on this page by the team of over 20 walkers will go to fund Calcutta Rescue's core programmes which provide healthcare, education, sanitation and employment to thousands of people in the slums of Kolkata and West Bengal.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for your support!
