Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update:

I have now extended the walk, continuing from Walltown to Middlesbrough, a further 45 miles, over the weekend 11 and 12 September, stopping overnight in Seaham. This now completes my journey linking the three braches of the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants in my year as President.

Update:
I completed the walk as described below - the first day and a half in the company of 7 or 8 others, then Sunday on my own. I managed to keep to my schedule of 5 km an hour on Sunday, arriving at Segedunum at 18.25 after a 7.05 start from Brocolitia. Many thanks to all who turned out on Friday and Saturday to make it such an "event", and to the support team who made the overnight camp possible.

I am looking to walk Hadrian's Wall over the weekend of 16 - 18 July. Starting at Bowness-on -Solway on Friday afternoon, I shall be walking to Carlisle (home!) then on from there to Brocolitia on Saturday. After an overnight camp at Winsheilds I shall then be completing the walk at Wallsend on Sunday evening.

I am hoping for some support in the form of other walkers for all or part of the walk, and perhaps the best stretch is that from Walltown to Housesteads which I expect to be on from 2 pm on Saturday.
