Story
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge Walk is a demanding walk, which involves scaling three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire, climbing 5000ft(1600m) over 25 miles. The challenge is to complete this walk within 12 hours. The walk is taking place for the New Manchester Children’s Hospital as Darren Warburton’s 12 year old son Gregg has been a patient at the hospital several times since birth, due to a multiple limb abnormality which results in Gregg being a bi-lateral amputee. Gregg has two artificial limbs and is an occasional wheelchair user. And Greg has benefited from their excellent care and treatment over the years
The Manchester Network Team consists of: Darren Warburton, Dave Baxendale, Mark Kelly, Chris Openshaw, Deborah Sullivan, Anna Provost, Hannah Wardle, Ged Horridge, Tom Allen, Jonathon Cockram & John Lapatrie (Designated Minibus Driver)
