Story

Hi there,

Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.

It's amazing the things people agree to do during after work drinks!!

The lovely Carissa (It'll be easy - trust me) Alder signed up to do the Run To The Beat (RttB) half marathon back in March and suggested/pestered Cristina and Tracey to join her.

They finally agreed and signed up, then suggested/pestered Sonja to join in too !! Sonja is the veteran half marathon runner in the group having run RttB in 2008, after which she swore she would never put herself through the agony again (thanks for the motivation Sonj !!).

Tracey (I don't run for the bus) Dynan saw this as a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause - The Meningitis Research Foundation in loving memory of her flatmate and friend, Sheree Josling, who died from meningococcal meningitis in January 2008, aged just 26.

Sonja (I swore I'd never do this again) Petch and Cristina (I thought we were running 5 kms) Guida kindly agreed to raise money for this fantastic cause also.

So please dig deep and support our running efforts in loving memory of a very special person, taken far too soon.

Carissa is also running in memory of a very dear friend, Maria McKay, who died of lymphoma cancer earlier this year. Her fundraising page can be found on the link below...

Your support means an enormous amount to us all and will help us through the gruelling 13.1 miles (21 kms) to the finish line.

Thank you... Thank you... Thank you... Thank you...
