We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Aged 7, Charlotte had verruccas on her feet.  These grew and grew.  The medical profession seemed unable to help us.  Eventually we were so desperate  we applied to go on the Embarrassing Bodies programme.  As a result of this we learned that Charlotte needed a Bone Marrow Transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital.  Last summer Charlotte had the transplant from her younger sister, Isabelle.

Charlotte's story recently featured as a special on Embarrassing Bodies, and can be seen on their website. A Bone Marrow Transplant affects the whole family and for this reason we decided that we would like to raise money for GOSH, as a family.  So, on June 6th we will be doing the 5k Fun Run.

We assumed that we had 4 healthy children.  GOSH have been absolutely wonderful in making a diagnosis and supporting us through the treatment.  We would like to say a big thank-you by raising as much money as we can. We have set up this page not to show the value of donation, so you can donate as much or as little as you want!

AND, if you are healthy and under 40 PLEASE join the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Register.
