We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

All we want for Christmas is a cure for Diabetes.

As most of you know, Andrew developed Type 1 diabetes when he was six. He is now nine years old and mightily fed up with the daily grind that having diabetes brings.

We believe the work that the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is doing gives him the best hope of a cure.

Everyone at JDRF is working very hard on their programme of research on the "Five Pathways to a Cure" looking at

-Autoimmunity

-Regeneration

-Replacement

-Complications

-Control

One of Moira's colleagues from medical school, Dr. Rory McCrimmon, is back from the States and working at Dundee University sponsored by JDRF. It's a small world.

We don't want any cards this year - donate what you would have spent on the card and send us an e-mail with a photo instead. We'll add your name and photo to our display of well-wishers at the house instead.

If you were thinking of sending a present, make it a gift to JDRF instead and you will know you have chosen exactly what we wanted!

If you are going to send cards to other folks why not choose to support JDRF by buying their cards online at

or

by phoning 0845 450 2234

Love you all and thanks for your support,

MERRY CHRISTMAS,

Moira, Douglas, Eleanor, Kirsty and Andrew
