Story
Well, we've done it! The team completed the challenge in 22hrs 58mins. We'd all like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped us in some way; whether through sponsorship, being part of our support team or just for cheering us along the way - we really couldn't have done it without you!

In early January we set out to find a team of 8 Wincanton IT members to complete in the National 3 Peaks Challenge on the 17th / 18th June 2010. The challenge involves hiking up and down Ben Nevis in followed by Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in all within 24 hours.
Several months have passed since that initial rally call, and we have organised and completed a number of training walks of varying difficulty! A nice stroll in the country at Chew Valley progressed to something a little more strenuous in the Quantocks and latterly we've been fighting snow and icy winds in the Brecon Becons. Our most recent outing in that neck of the woods was a 10 mile hike with over 4000ft of ascent and descent! We've now also completed each of the mountains individually and know what we'll be facing for the challenge itself...well kind of! We've all had great fun in the process and have had the opportunity to enjoy some stunning countryside. There's loads more work for us all to do though and your support will spur us on to achieve our goal! Of course we are not doing this for just our own selfish reasons but to raise money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. This fantastic service is not government or National Lottery funded but supported only by the good will of the people in Wiltshire.
