We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

Simon, Daniel & Emma Wright are running the London Marathon !!

By a very cruel coincidence two of the grandparents in our family have lost their sight to Macular Degeneration and it's the RNIB that helps support blind people and provides the talking books that gives them so much pleasure.

Please help us raise at least £3000, your support really is appreciated

10 April - DANIEL INJURED

Unfortunately Daniel has injured his calf and after lots of physio has been advised that it could cause him long term damage if he attempts to run the marathon.  Obviously this is very disappointing, but instead of merely dropping out, he has decided to take on another challenge and he will be joining the RNIB team in the World's Largest Triathlon in September this year around London. (www.thelondontriathlon.com)

He will be attempting the Olympic distance, which is no mean feat, involving a 1500m swim outside in Docklands, a 40km bike ride around central London, followed by a 10km run around the ExCel centre.

About the charity

Every day 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. With your help, we can be there when people need us most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you raise will help create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
